Project partners

Including 360-degree expertise

‘Planzer – Dynamic Micro Hub with LOXO’ is the heart of an ecosystem for sustainable city logistics. It is where various partner companies combine innovation and expertise. All with the common goal of sustainably reconciling ecological and economic requirements.

Two Swiss firms in the lead

A successful project usually starts with an amazing idea. In this case, it starts with two Swiss companies, Planzer and LOXO. Both have market-leading industry expertise and are inspired by one vision: highly automated, sustainable logistics that serve the environment and people.

‘What makes this project unique is that it will have a direct impact on society. We not only wanted to integrate automated technology into existing systems, but also to develop an entirely new concept and a new business model.’

Nils Planzer, CEO Planzer Group

‘We’re confident that this partnership will not only expand Planzer’s business, but that the technology will also become the standard for efficient local delivery.’

Amin Amini, Co-Founder and CEO, LOXO AG

Sharing knowledge, multiplying synergies

Autonomous vehicles require wide-ranging expertise and powerful innovation. That’s why other partners have joined the co-project.

‘The city of Bern has defined strategic priorities for eco-friendly supply and disposal that are compatible with urban living as part of its city logistics concept. The Planzer and LOXO pilot project embraces various measures from this concept and is in line with the city’s energy and climate policy.’

Peter Schild, Mobility Consulting Department, City of Bern

‘As the first autonomous vehicle in the centre of Bern, this pilot project will not only raise public and political awareness, but also demonstrate the economic viability of autonomous services and thoroughly test their strategies.’

Oliver Nahon, Director of Operations, Swiss Association for Autonomous Mobility SAAM

‘We believe in this convincing, professional consortium and are confident that the project will create a market presence and new opportunities with our joisteer 3.0 system technology.’

Matthias Hell, CEO, Bozzio AG

‘The aim of our involvement is to contribute to the reliable, safe mobility of the future, while providing considerable support for the project by integrating new technologies such as automatic data annotation, digital maps and safety mechanisms for advanced control algorithms.’

Roland Scherwey, Vice President, SwissMoves

Thanks to software from Bosch, Loxo is able to perform and document daily vehicle inspections efficiently and at scale. We are delighted to be part of the project to drive innovative mobility solutions forward together.

Uwe Riedel, Project Manager Mobility Service Hub, Robert Bosch GmbH

‘We want to shape the mobility of the future and firmly believe in the benefits of highly automated driving. We’re proud of this innovative project and want to contribute to the future of the sustainable, efficient and convenient transport of goods and services.’
